Animal Expo 2019
On 5 and 6 October 2019, the 28th edition of the largest pet trade fair in France took place. Animal Expo represents 12,000m², 200 exhibitors, 10,000 animals and a major innovation this year, 30 participating animal refuges.
Animal wellbeing
For this latest edition in partnership with Animalis, the trade fair concentrated on animal wellbeing, with 24 thematic conferences and the spotlight turned on abandoned animals - the adoption centre and solidarity pavilion being reserved for all the animal protection refuges.
RIGA, a wide range of products
We divided the 27m² stand in half: one side for everyday products such as treats and toys and the other side for activities and Christmas items. Just like every year, the general public were especially interested in the Chick’os. We were selling Advent calendars for the second time and we ran out of stock for the dog calendar in only four hours. Customers were so enthusiastic that they passed the word on social media to meet up at our stand.
A wealth of activities
In the same way as the last four years, we were pleased to welcome our mascots, Marvel Ze Super Beagle and Lou Beagle, for demonstrations and photo sessions on our stand. Our bloggers interacted greatly with the general public, with skateboard rides, direct product testing and even tips on how to teach your dog tricks.
We also organised a ‘coconut shy’ type game with our new dog bazooka. The aim was to ‘shoot’ fleas, ticks and mosquitoes before the dog became infested. The winners walked away with treats for their pet.
Finally, both at the Paris Agricultural Show and Animal Expo, Toutou RIGA made his customary appearance to pose for photos with children, hand out presents and do a few tricks with Lou and Marvel, to the public’s great delight. You can also watch the great video of Lou, who spent 2 days at our stand.
